The journey covers the Garden Route with a 4x4 safari at Botlierskop and a visit to Tsitsikamma National Park and a game drive in Addo Elephant National Park. Returning to Cape Town via the scenic Route 62 guests then enjoy two fully guided day tours exploring the dramatic coastline of the Cape Peninsula and the historic vineyards of the Cape Winelands.

Itinerary

Day 1 Cape Town to Botlierskop Game Reserve

Pickup between 06:00 and 07:00 from Cape Town or Stellenbosch. Journey along a scenic route to Botlierskop Game Reserve for a 2.5-hour 4x4 safari spotting rhinos and giraffes. Overnight at The Rex Hotel in the Garden Route.

Day 2 Garden Route and Tsitsikamma

Explore the Knysna Heads cliffs before heading to Bloukrans Bridge for optional bungy jumping. Walk the suspension bridge at Tsitsikamma National Park and drive to Jeffreys Bay. Overnight at Supertubes Guest House.

Day 3 Addo Elephant National Park

Start with optional surfing or horseback riding in Jeffreys Bay. Drive to Addo Elephant National Park for a 2 to 3-hour game drive searching for elephants and the Big Five. Overnight at Happy Lands Farm Stay.

Day 4 Addo to Oudtshoorn

Travel to the Klein Karoo to taste local treats like bobotie. Explore the ancient caverns of the Cango Caves and relax in Oudtshoorn with an optional ostrich braai. Overnight at 88 Baron van Reede Guest House.

Day 5 Route 62 to Cape Town

Sip wines along the scenic Route 62 valley before returning to Cape Town between 19:00 and 21:00. Overnight at City Lodge V&A Waterfront.

Day 6 Cape Peninsula Adventure

Pickup between 08:00 and 09:00 for a full day Cape Point tour. Drive Chapman’s Peak and visit Cape Point lighthouse and see the penguins at Boulders Beach. Overnight at City Lodge V&A Waterfront.

Day 7 Cape Winelands Experience

Pickup between 08:00 and 09:00 for a Winelands tour. Visit 3 or 4 estates in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek for tastings and cheese pairings and a cellar tour. Return to Cape Town by 17:30.
