Morning Township Cultural Tour

The guide takes you to the major townships in Cape Town. Visit District Six to learn about the forced removals and explore Langa the oldest township in South Africa. See the Joe Slovo informal settlement and drive through Bonteheuwel and Gugulethu. You are encouraged to interact with the local community to appreciate their rich social culture.

Afternoon Robben Island Museum

Travel to the V&A Waterfront for a short lunch break (own account). The ferry departs at 12:50 from the Nelson Mandela Gateway. Cross Table Bay to Robben Island where a former political prisoner takes you on a fascinating tour of the maximum security prison. Return to the V&A Waterfront in the late afternoon.
