Overview
This conservation-focused tour visits the worldโs first facility to successfully breed cheetahs on a sustainable basis. Located in the Magaliesberg mountain range, the centre focuses on maintaining a viable genetic pool for endangered carnivores, including the rare King Cheetah and the African wild dog. The experience features an informative guided tour in an open safari vehicle through the enclosures, where specialists discuss the biology, behavior, and rehabilitation of these predators. Visitors gain insight into the Wild Cheetah Management Programme and the facilityโs role in reintroducing captive-born wildlife into natural habitats, while also observing other resident species like the caracal, vultures, and riverine rabbits.
