Overview
This 2.5-hour guided bicycle excursion offers a high-energy way to navigate the historic streets of Soweto. Led by a knowledgeable local specialist: the route covers essential heritage sites: including the Hector Pieterson Memorial and the world-famous Vilakazi Street. You will pedal past the former homes of Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu while learning about the peaceful student protests that shaped the nation history. The tour includes a stop at the Orlando Towers: the iconic painted landmarks of the township: and concludes with an authentic South African outdoor lunch featuring traditional bunny chow or potjiekos.

Bicycle Orientation:
Collect your gear and receive a safety briefing before heading into the heart of Orlando West.
Historic Vilakazi Street:
Cycle through the only street in the world to have housed two Nobel Peace Prize winners.
Memorial & Towers:
Visit the Hector Pieterson Memorial and pedal to the base of the vibrant Orlando Towers.
Traditional Outdoor Lunch:
Enjoy a cultural meal prepared on an open fire at the end of the cycling route.
Important Information
- Meeting Point: Tours depart from the office on Pooe Street in Orlando West.
- Self Drive: Guests must arrange their own transport to the start location in Soweto.
- Time Slots: Morning (10h00): Afternoon (13h00): and Late Afternoon (15h00).
- Lunch Schedule: Served after the 10h00 tour or before the 13h00 tour.
- Beer Tasting: A traditional beer tasting tour can be added on-site for R250 per person.
- Cancellation Policy: 30-day notice forfeits 25% | 20-day notice forfeits 50% | 7-day notice forfeits 100%.
